Amoura Terms & Conditions of Service

1. Acceptance & Binding Contract

These Terms & Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Amoura LTD ("Amoura LTD", "we", "us", or "our"), the operating company of Amoura Dating ("Amoura", "the Application", "the Service").

By registering an account, clicking "Agree / Accept & Continue", logging into your profile, or accessing any discovery or messaging features, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not accept these Terms in their entirety, you must not access or use the Service.

Platform Purpose & Scope: Amoura Dating provides an online venue exclusively for adult social networking and dating, enabling members to showcase personal profiles, discover compatible candidates, form mutual matches, and exchange private communications. Amoura does not offer or facilitate prostitution, escort services, commercial sexual solicitation, transactional sex, or adult marketplaces.

2. Eligibility Criteria & Mandatory Age Requirement (18+)

Amoura is designed exclusively for adult dating and social connection. We maintain strict Eligibility standards to protect our community:

Before creating an account or accessing our matchmaking tools, you must satisfy all of the following requirements:

• Minimum Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher). Underage usage is strictly prohibited. By registering, you warrant and represent that you are 18 years of age or older. Any account discovered to have been created by or on behalf of a minor under 18 years of age will be immediately banned and permanently purged.
• Legal Capacity: You represent that you possess full legal right, authority, and capacity to enter into a binding agreement with Amoura LTD.
• No Prior Platform Bars: You warrant that you have not previously been suspended, terminated, or banned from Amoura for safety, harassment, or conduct violations, and that you are not barred under any law from using online communications tools.
• Single Personal Account: You may create and operate only one active profile for your individual personal, non-commercial use. Shared, joint, or commercial brand profiles are not permitted.

3. Account Registration, Security & Credentials

To access Amoura, you must complete our standard registration flow, providing a valid email address, secure password, and mandatory onboarding profile details:

3.1 Accurate & Truthful Identity

You agree to provide accurate, current, and truthful information during registration and profile creation. You must not impersonate any person, misrepresent your age or identity, or create an account on behalf of anyone else.

3.2 Credential Protection

You are solely responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must choose a strong password and safeguard it against unauthorized access. If you suspect your account has been compromised, you must immediately notify our security team at security@reverse-proxy.co.uk.

3.3 Mandatory Photo & Email Verification

To ensure platform quality and prevent fake profiles, Amoura requires new members to verify their email address via a 6-digit confirmation code or magic link and upload authentic profile photographs prior to unlocking Discovery and chat features.

4. Community Guidelines & Code of Conduct

A positive dating environment relies on mutual respect, kindness, and authenticity. When interacting with candidates, swiping, or sending direct messages, you agree to treat every community member with respect and courtesy.

Our Community Guidelines apply to every interaction across Amoura:

• Respectful Interaction: Treat matches with kindness, dignity, and empathy. Rejection is a normal part of dating; accept a Pass, unmatch, or lack of response gracefully without resentment, insults, or harassment.
• Authenticity & Honesty: Present yourself honestly. Use recent, authentic photographs of yourself and accurate personal details. Deceptive practices undermine the dating experience.
• Consent & Boundaries: Always respect personal boundaries. Unwanted sexual advances, persistent messaging after a refusal, and aggressive behaviour are prohibited.
• Zero Tolerance for Abuse: We do not tolerate abusive, aggressive, discriminatory, predatory, or deceptive behavior. Your account will be immediately flagged and suspended if you engage in misconduct toward other members or our support personnel.

5. Prohibited Conduct & Platform Misuse

To safeguard our community, Amoura strictly prohibits the following behaviors. Engaging in any of these actions constitutes a material breach of these Terms and will result in immediate enforcement action up to permanent account termination:

5.1 Harassment, Bullying, Threats & Intimidation

You must not stalk, bully, insult, degrade, intimidate, Harassment, or threaten physical harm, violence, or psychological distress against any user, either in direct messages or profile content. Unsolicited sexual harassment, vulgar insults, or persistent unwanted attention are strictly prohibited.

5.2 Hate Speech, Discrimination & Abusive Behaviour

You must not post, upload, or transmit content promoting hatred, violence, incitement, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

5.3 Scams, Fraud, Extortion & Financial Solicitation

NEVER WIRE MONEY OR SHARE FINANCIAL DETAILS: You must not request money, loans, gift cards, bank transfers, cryptocurrency, or financial assistance from matches. Romance scams, investment schemes, commercial fraud, extortion, blackmail, or threatening to expose private communications or imagery are strictly prohibited and will be referred to law enforcement authorities.

5.4 Impersonation, Catfishing & Materially Deceptive Profiles

You must not impersonate public figures, celebrities, or other individuals, create fake profiles, upload photos depicting persons other than yourself, operate automated bot accounts, or maintain catfishing profiles intended to mislead or deceive other members.

5.5 Sexual Solicitation, Commercial Sexual Activity & Prostitution

COMMERCIAL SEXUAL ACTIVITY IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED: Amoura is an adult dating platform, not a venue for commercial sex. The following conduct is strictly prohibited and results in immediate permanent termination:

• Soliciting sexual services or offering sexual services in exchange for money, compensation, financial support, gifts, or anything of value;
• Arranging, brokering, or coordinating paid sexual encounters;
• Facilitating, promoting, or advertising prostitution;
• Advertising escort services, commercial adult entertainment, or sexually explicit commercial offerings;
• Engaging in transactional sex or commercial sexual arrangements of any kind;
• Using Amoura as a marketplace, directory, or intermediary for commercial sexual activity;
• Promoting commercial businesses, agencies, or external websites involving commercial sexual services;
• Pressuring, coercing, or soliciting another user to provide sexual services or engage in commercial transactions.

Clarification on Legitimate Adult Dating: Consensual adult dating, normal romantic conversations, consensual adult relationships, and mutual flirting between consenting adults are welcome and permitted; the prohibition above targets commercial sexual activity, prostitution, escort advertising, sexual exploitation, and transactional arrangements.

5.6 Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery, Sexual Exploitation & Human Trafficking

We enforce strict zero tolerance for the following severe violations:

• Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (NCII): Uploading, sharing, or threatening to share sexually explicit photos, videos, or intimate imagery of any person without their explicit, verifiable consent;
• Sexual Exploitation & Abuse: Any form of sexual coercion, non-consensual sexual content, or predatory exploitation;
• Exploitation of Vulnerable Persons: Exploiting individuals due to vulnerability, age, distress, or dependency;
• Human Trafficking: Any activity involving human trafficking, forced labor, servitude, or modern slavery;
• Child Safety & Minors: Any content involving minors or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is met with immediate permanent account termination, preservation of evidence, and immediate reporting to the National Crime Agency (NCA), law enforcement, and relevant child protection bodies.

5.7 Off-Platform Exploitation & Unsafe Situations

You must not attempt to lure or coerce other users off-platform into unsafe, exploitative, fraudulent, or dangerous situations, or recruit users into commercial schemes, multi-level marketing, or adult entertainment enterprises.

5.8 Technical Misuse, Scraping & Automated Bots

You must not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, crawl, hack, rate-limit bypass, flood, or manipulate our API or interface. Automated swiping scripts, bot swiping software, unauthorized scripts, and fake location spoofing tools are strictly banned.

6. User Content & Licences

Amoura allows you to post biography text, lifestyle attributes, profile photos, crop preferences, direct messages, and supported media attachments ("User-Generated Content" or "UGC"):

6.1 Supported Content Types

The Service supports the following forms of user content:

• Profile Information: Display name, age/date of birth, gender, bio text, job title, company or education, city location, height, relationship intentions, family plans, lifestyle choices, languages spoken, interests, and prompt responses;
• Profile Photographs: Up to 8 authentic photographs cropped using our framing tools and rendered in candidate Discovery cards;
• Direct Messages: 1-on-1 private text messages exchanged between mutual matches;
• Media Attachments: Photo and video attachments (up to 15 MB) sent within private mutual match conversation threads;
• Safety & Support Submissions: User reports, report reasons, and support inquiry communications.

6.2 Ownership of Your Content

You retain full copyright and ownership rights in all photos, text, and media you upload to Amoura.

6.3 Licence Granted to Us

By posting UGC on Amoura, you grant Amoura LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sub-licensable, and transferable licence to host, store, display, crop, format, reproduce, adapt, and render your content solely for the purpose of operating, delivering, and improving the Service.

6.4 Content Standards & Authenticity

All profile photographs must clearly feature you as the main subject. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to upload all media content, that your content is accurate, and that your content does not infringe third-party intellectual property, publicity, or privacy rights.

6.5 User Responsibility for Content

You are solely and personally responsible for ensuring that all content you submit to Amoura complies with these Terms, our Community Guidelines, and all applicable laws and regulations.

7. Dating Mechanics: Discovery Deck, Swipes, Rewinds & Matches

Amoura provides candidate discovery feeds, swiping interfaces, and matchmaking features:

Our matchmaking engine presents candidate cards based on your search filters and geographical distance. To preserve platform integrity and ensure genuine human interaction, the following rules apply:

• Swiping Actions: You may swipe candidate cards (`pass`, `like`, `superlike`). Swiping is subject to rate limiting and abuse controls to maintain server performance.
• Rewind Restrictions: To preserve genuine intent, rewind history is capped at a maximum of 10 consecutive swipe actions. Excessive rewind requests are subject to rate limiting.
• Mutual Matches: A match is established when two users mutually express interest (`like` or `superlike`). Only matched profiles can initiate direct message conversations.
• No Match Guarantees: We provide tools to connect people, but we make no representations or guarantees regarding the number, quality, or outcome of matches or dates.

8. Direct Messaging, Communication Standards & Unmatching

Direct chat messaging is available exclusively between mutual matches:

Once matched, you may exchange private text messages and supported media attachments. To maintain a safe conversation environment:

• Messages are transmitted securely and rendered with real-time delivery and read receipts.
• Either user in a match thread may unmatch at any time. Unmatching permanently severs communication, removes the match, and hides the conversation history from both profiles.
• Chat messages must adhere strictly to our Community Guidelines. Abusive or harassing messages may be reported by the recipient for safety review.

9. Offline Safety Precautions & Disclaimers

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY: YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY.

Amoura does NOT perform mandatory criminal background checks, identity verifications, or screening on all registered members. We cannot guarantee the character or background of any user on or off the platform.

9.1 Mandatory User Safety Rules for Offline Dates

When connecting with members offline, follow these essential safety guidelines:

• Never Send Money or Financial Details: Never wire money, transfer funds, or share credit card/bank details with anyone you meet online, no matter how persuasive their story.
• Always Meet in Public: Arrange initial meetings in well-lit, populated public locations (e.g. coffee shops, restaurants). Never meet at private residences for a first date.
• Arrange Your Own Transport: Control your own arrival and departure. Do not let your date pick you up from your home address on initial meetings.
• Inform a Trusted Contact: Always tell a friend or family member where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to return.
• Keep Communications On-Platform Initially: Get to know candidates inside the Amoura chat before giving out your personal telephone number or home address.
• Report Suspicious Users: Immediately block and report any profile asking for money, behaving aggressively, or displaying suspicious conduct.

10. Blocking, Reporting & Moderation

Safety tools are built directly into candidate profile cards, active chat threads, and our platform architecture:

We maintain a multi-tiered safety and moderation approach combining technology, reporting, and human oversight:

• Instant User Blocking: Blocking a user instantly hides their profile from your Discovery deck, terminates any active match, closes communication channels, and isolates the blocked accounts.
• User Reporting Mechanism: Reporting a profile submits a structured safety alert to our moderation system under defined categories including harassment, inappropriate photos, fake accounts, scam/financial solicitation, commercial sex/prostitution, underage concerns, or safety threats.
• Automated & Technology-Based Detection: We employ automated technical controls, including velocity rate limiting, media format validation, and file size constraints, to detect suspicious patterns and flag potentially problematic content or accounts for review.
• Human Moderation & Safety Review: Where appropriate, human reviewers and safety moderators inspect reported accounts, review submitted profile details and media in an internal moderation workspace, assess context against our policies, and make enforcement determinations. Automated tools assist in triaging reports, but not every profile or message is manually reviewed by a human prior to publication.
• No Prevention Guarantee: While we invest diligently in safety mechanisms, Amoura cannot and does not guarantee that it will detect or prevent every violation, harmful interaction, or fraudulent account on or off the platform.

11. Account Suspension, Termination & Deletion

We enforce our policies using targeted, proportional capabilities:

• Enforcement Measures: When a policy violation is verified or reasonably suspected, authorized moderators may issue official warnings, remove offending profile photos, reset inappropriate profile text, restrict account functionality, apply temporary account suspension, or permanently terminate the account without prior notice.
• User-Initiated Deletion: You may delete your account at any time through Account Settings. Permanent account deletion purges your profile records, photos, matches, swipes, and messages in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• Termination by Us: Amoura LTD reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account immediately if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in commercial sexual solicitation, committed fraud, harassed members, or posed a safety risk to our community.
• Law Enforcement Cooperation: We cooperate with lawful requests, subpoenas, and court orders from law enforcement authorities where legally required or appropriate, particularly in matters involving child safety, physical threats, human trafficking, or financial fraud.

12. Third-Party Infrastructure & Google Sign-In Terms

The Service integrates with secure third-party infrastructure, including secure cloud database infrastructure, high-performance caching layers, transactional email gateways, and Google Authentication services:

• Google Sign-In: Google Login is an alternative authentication shortcut strictly available to members who have already registered an account through our standard registration process. Google Login cannot be used to bypass registration or create new accounts.
• Third-Party Terms: Your interaction with third-party authentication services is governed by the respective terms and privacy policies of those providers.

13. Intellectual Property Rights & Software Ownership

All rights, title, and interest in and to Amoura Dating, including software code, API design, database schemas, visual UI elements, CSS, JavaScript, logos, trademarks, and branding, belong exclusively to Amoura LTD and its licensors.

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service strictly in compliance with these Terms. You must not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our software or trademarks.

14. Disclaimers of Warranties & Guarantee Exclusions

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Amoura Dating IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SPECIFIC NUMBER OF MATCHES OR DATES WILL BE ACHIEVED.

15. Limitation of Liability & Statutory Exclusions

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, Amoura LTD, ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, OR THE CONDUCT OF OTHER USERS ON OR OFF THE PLATFORM.

16. Governing Law, Dispute Resolution & Contact Information

These Terms, their subject matter, and formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any claim or dispute arising out of or related to these Terms.
